2026 MR. & MRS. OKUSACA ODWIRA–OHUM PAGEANT Who Wears the Crown? The 2026 Mr. & Mrs. OKUSACA Odwira–Ohum Pageant is an elegant celebration of Akuapem beauty, intelligence, confidence, creativity and cultural pride. Presented by the Okuapemman Association of the United States of America and Canada, the pageant forms part of OKUSACA’s mission to unite Okuapem people throughout the diaspora while preserving their heritage and supporting their communities. OKUSACA describes the pageant as one of its most powerful initiatives and a platform through which participants gain valuable skills and perspectives. More than a competition of physical appearance, the pageant provides contestants with an opportunity to demonstrate poise, talent, character, cultural knowledge and leadership potential. Through their presentations and cultural expressions, they honor the traditions of Okuapeman while representing the confidence, excellence and aspirations of a new generation. The pageant is held within the spirit of Odwira and Ohum—festivals rooted in purification, thanksgiving, ancestral remembrance, harvest and communal renewal. Odwira particularly emphasizes spiritual cleansing, gratitude, reconciliation and unity, while Ohum commemorates the perseverance of the ancestors and gives thanks for the first yam harvest. Visit Ghana—Odwira and Visit Ghana—Ohum. As the contestants take the stage, they do more than compete for crowns: they become ambassadors of Okuapem identity, dignity and progress. The evening promises a vibrant display of cultural excellence and youthful achievement as the audience asks the exciting question: Who will wear the crowns of Mr. and Mrs. OKUSACA 2026?
